high priestess flow

soulful sunday vinyasa replay!

Hey gang,

Here is the replay from our latest pop-up class. I teach about the mudra of a thousand petals and we weave it into a crown chakra-inspired practice. We roll through a few rounds of the powerful Surya Namaskar A, and there are opportunities to play with more challenging poses like plow, shoulderstand, and half-lotus. There are also opportunities to rest, breathe and do nothing at all.

The aim of this practice is to remind you of your innate nobility. The High Priestess from the tarot came to mind when I was running through class. She, like the crown chakra, represents a connection to a higher power— something beyond our physical self. The High Priestess is a symbol of the divine feminine, intuition, sacred knowledge, the subconscious. She asks us to open up to our own spirituality, and helps us to see things as they are— because after all, as Sharon Salzberg says: things are as they are. That’s a mantra I’ve been repeating to myself over and over lately.
