Hi hello!
Between tech-y mishaps and a screaming baby-toddler-creature, it took me *three* tries to actually film this, but hooray, here it is: a quiet, introspective yin class that gives a nod to the winter solstice and acknowledges that you are, regardless of what the world might be shouting at you, a part of nature, “no less than the trees and the stars…”
I love a yin practice all year round, but there is something pretty magical to me about yin in the wintertime. This class explores themes of fear and courage, of darkness and light, and opportunities to connect with oneself on a more primal level. Venture inward and see what you might find!
You can find other cozy, introspective, winter-y classes in the class library, including:
Yin: Wintering
Yin: Healthy Hips/Winter Withdrawal
Move & Meditate: Winter Solstice Practice
Move & Meditate: First Snow
Slow Flow: New Year’s Practice
wishing you all very happy holidays!
rest, enjoy, be well.

I’d love it if you joined me for Meditation for Beginners, a 4-week series on Zoom, Sunday mornings in January. Each session is just 30 min and will include some gentle movement, brief discussion and a no-pressure, explorative space for guided meditation practice. It’s included in your paid subscription, or $40 for the series if you don’t want to subscribe. If you want to come and can’t afford it, just message me.
Private yoga sessions make very nice holiday gifts :)
