I am a huge believer in the magic of a personal writing practice. It really holds up a mirror to oneself, and for me, emptying the words out onto the page allows space for my creativity to flow, opens up mental capacity for the moment at hand, and invites answers to come into my awareness. Let these writing exercises serve as a different kind of meditation. Don’t overthink them, just write!

Bouquet of Possibilities
"A rigid mind is very sure but often wrong. A flexible mind is generally unsure, but often right" -Vanda Scaravelli
Call to mind a situation that you’re worried or stressed about. It could be global, or something interpersonal in your life that makes you angry or scared... Consider whether you have you told yourself a story about this situation: have you predicted a very particular way it's going to play out? A rigid ending? Have you considered other endings? Very often I find myself stuck in the vortex of worst case scenario...
Perhaps there are other possibilities. Imagine a field of wildflowers. Each flower represents a different potential outcome. Pick yourself a bouquet of possibilities, maybe 3-5 different flowers. Great, terrible, neutral... write each one out, describe in full detail the way each different outcome could play out, choose-your-own-adventure style. When you’re done, read them over and practice resting in this spaciousness, this not-knowing. It is okay to not know…
